October saw the Southwark Helping Hands Club Race Night raise funds for the Club's annual holiday to France.
Great fun was had by all in attendance in the Community Hall, with the night raising over £600 for the holiday. Over 40 people attend ready to place a bet or two with the hope of finding a winner. The race goers jostled for the winning tote positions. All the horses in the ten races were sponsored by a mixture of the local businesses, Club members / volunteers and the local community. All 8 horses for the final race were auctioned off. The winner of the auction race clinched a bottle of champagne. Our thanks go to everyone who bought horses, races or came along on the night.
